The Stanford Earthquake

Just a really quick one today, after last night's enormous "La Traviata" entry. I found this story on Futility Closet's blog here.

In 1906, an earthquake shook Standford, California. Among other things, there was some damage done to Stanford University:

That is a statue of Louis Agassiz. He was a major geologist.

Heh.
